Holy Holga!

Sometimes I like to go out and shoot just for myself and explore different kinds of photography. Today at lunch, I went out and shot for a little while with my new Holga lens.

We use the most advanced equipment we can find to make the images we do. We are always investing in gear that extends our capabilities. We are blessed to shoot with some of the best lenses and camera bodies in the industry.

But, yesterday I got in a brand new lens. But it's not any ordinary lens, it's a lens from a Holga camera body that's been converted to fit the Cannon 5D. The Holga is a $15 dollar toy camera that was made in china that shoots "old style" 120 film.

I saw some images from the Holga on the Internet and I was impressed. The lens isn't even made out of glass, it's plastic, but the images that come out of it are dreamy and almost surreal.

I took some photos of some flowers around the studio at lunch. I wanted to share them with you.

It all reminds me that it's never about the equipment, it's about the people, the moments and the beauty that's right there in front of whatever lens you're using.

I hope you enjoy these!

Our Fine Art Prints gallery is up and online now. We have added just a few prints to it, with more to be offered soon. You can take a look now at:

Click here for the Fine Art Prints Gallery

We've decided to keep the prices low so that the prints are more accessible to everyone. I love these images and want as many people who would lile to have one to own one.

Every print is signed, numbered by me personally. The print is printed on archival metallic paper and is framed with the archival mat board so you can enjoy the print for a lifetime.

We are offering them in the following sizes and introductory prices:

8x12 $150
16x24 $275
24x36 $500

I hope you enjoy the prints as much as I enjoyed shooting them for you!

Fine Art Prints

I've been blessed to travel and see some amazing, wonderful places and things. I've had my camera with me and I've shown these images to people from time to time and I always get the same response - you should share these with people!

So, I've decided to do just that. We've remodeled the studio lately and it has taken on a new personality and become somewhat of a gallery. I'll post more images later, but I wanted to share a few images with you that we will be offering as limited edition prints in the very near future.

I hope you enjoy them, there's more to come!

Another Beautiful Delaney Bride!

We have been blessed with back to back weddings for weeks now, and I just wanted to take a second and post this image of Rachel. She emailed me and asked for a sneak peek so, here's a shot we took that day. Look at the sky and how awesome it is and Rachel was so happy. It was a great day!

Postcards from Delaney - Father's and Daughters.

Wow. I sent out the next postcards from Delaney and received a lot of responses. It seems like people really connected to the relationship between a Father and his daughter.

One of the best photographers in the industry, Dane Sanders, emailed me back and told me that he was going to go and play with his two daughters. My sister emailed me and told me that she cried when she read it. Another mother emailed me and told me of how much she loved her son. A bride we recently photographed emailed me and said, "Ok, You made me cry this morning! So sweet! Cherish your precious daughter (and little son!) I know how important it is to have a daddy who means the world to you!"

So I leaned over and gave Faith a big old hug.
