Meet my son Delaney Holliman the third!

We're at home now and everyone is getting settled in. My son Delaney (the third!) is doing just awesome, Faith helped burp him this morning and Kerry is being an amazing mother, as always.

I wanted to post some photos for you from this weekend. You know I'll be taking more in the studio with him pretty soon. I love how small he is and how sweet. He has the sweetest cry.

I'm a Father (again)!

Last night at 6:49pm My son, Delaney was born. He weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 and 3/4 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great and the delivery went well. Kerry did so great and I am so proud of her.

I was able to gown up and deliver him just like I did Faith and Faith is so excited. She looked at him and said, "He's beautiful!" and then "I'm going to be a big sister and change his diaper and do all kinds of things!" We're all so excited and it's been so great to see our family and friends drop by.

I'll post some photos when we get back home. Birth is an awesome miracle!

I’m about to be a Father (again)!

We’re going to the hospital early in the morning, and Lord willing, our son will be born sometime over the weekend. We are beyond excited and it’s all so amazing. I helped deliver Faith and I hope I’ll be able to help deliver our son too. Can't you just picture me in a blue gown with gloves? :) It was the first thing Faith ever saw. Poor thing. She seems to be okay though.

I will be in and out of the studio next week (mostly out) and working from my home office a good bit. If you really need me quick, call my cell phone at 478-960-1523. I’ll check email and messages from home.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and thoughts! I can't wait for you to meet my son!

Lindsay, Frank and Anthony

I photographed Frank and Lindsay’s engagement, wedding and now their little boy’s infant portraits. Anthony was just as adorable as he could be. They are good friends of ours and as I looked at the images we made together I thought how blessed we all are to have the loved ones we do in our lives and what they mean to me.

A 90 year old birthday party!

It was Mrs Betty Sweet’s birthday and her family was there to celebrate it with her. Some came in from as far as California. Everyone was having a great time celebrating her birthday.

One of the gifts she seemed to enjoy very much was a donation they made in her behalf to the Operation Smile charity. Because of her, a child in another country will have a normal, happy childhood. How awesome that even though she was 90 years old, she was still helping others.

A Day at the Club

Recently, we had the opportunity to spend some time with these guys at the golf course. Their mom and dad where there and we had a great time together shooting images, playing golf and watching them chase each other around the course.

It is so fulfilling to do this type of shoot because we're not just taking photographs, we're documenting lives. Lifestyle photography is all about capturing moments and memories so years to come you can look back on those moments and remember that morning we all spent together at the golf course.

I was Inspi(red)

Today we went shopping for baby clothes and while at the GAP I picked up a copy of "Individuals: Portraits from the Gap Collection." It's a collection of 250 portaits of actors, athelets and artists from over the last 30 years of GAP commercial ad work. The portraits in the book are inspiring, but what's really inspiring is that the book is a part of (PRODUCT) RED.

If you purchase items or services from a participating company, a portion of the profits goes to Aids prevention and treatment in Africa with an emphasis on women and children.

Rachel, a photographer friend of mine, wrote in her blog about how the point of building a business and a brand isn't to see how much you can make, it's to see how much you can give back. I couldn't agree more. Achiving finiacial freedom is a great goal, but it's what you do with that freedom that really matters.

I've spent time lately thinking about that question. I believe God gives us all talents and gifts to use to serve other people for His glory. I want to use my own talents in ways that help people both here locally, and also across the world. Check back here on the blog to see what opportunities I find and maybe how you can help too.

Today, it was just as easy as buying a book.

We're getting ready!

Tammy Chambers, a talented staff photographer in our studio and a good friend, took these wonderful images of my wife Kerry, Faith and me in the studio.

I couldn't wait to share them with you! We're all looking forward to Delaney's arrival this month. We're getting his room ready, diapers bought and everything ready for his arrival.

Every Night when Faith goes to bed she prays, "God bless Mommy. God bless Daddy. God bless my little brother growing in Mommy's tummy..." She's adorable and is so excited to be a "Big Sister."

And I'm excited too. I have a beautiful wife, a sweet little girl and now a son. I have amazing friends who stick with me through thick and thin and I have a job where I get to be creative and at the same time, make new friends every day.

This morning at Chick-fil-a I saw a mother of a bride who has become a close friend. I waved at her and she grinned, rolled down her window, said "Hey there!" She asked me how things were going. I said, "GIRL! They are AWESOME!" and we laughed. As I drove away I thought about how great it is to have the friends I do and how much they mean to me.

I have so much more than I could ever deserve. God has blessed me so much and I am so thankful for all of it.

The Wedding of Emily & Chris

Emily and Chris were married at Dickey Presbyterian Church in Dickey Georgia. The church was a small country church built in 1871 on land donated by Chris's family. Generations of his family have been married there.

The reception was held at the Shackelford House with hundreds of guests in attendance.

Every detail of their wedding was perfect from the Bride's Kate Spade shoes to the abundance of flowers to the Bible verse they selected, "I have found the one that my soul loves." Song of Solomon 3:4

Happy New Year!

Thank you all for such an amazing year!

2006 was an amazing, overwhelmingly successful year and we want to thank all our clients and friends for everything that has happened this year. We were truly blessed and we are so thankful for the way everything turned out.

This past year had challenges met, obstacles overcame and we learned so much. We met a lot of great people and made some new friends. We were honored by the way we had a chance to touch people's lives with images of the ones they loved.

We're excited to see what 2007 is going to bring. We're beginning our planning sessions for this year and starting to map out the new services and products that we're going to be bringing to you.

2007 is going to be an amazing year and we're so excited you're going to be a part of it!

Macon Magazine

Our photography has been in Macon Magazine many times for our commercial clients over the years and the current issue is no exception. Rutland Family Healthcare commissioned us to do photography and Ad layout work for Dr Davis on page 92.

But this issue we are particularly excited about because we're advertising in Macon Magazine ourselves. If you'll open the current issue to page 93, you'll see our ad at the top.

We love Macon. We enjoy meeting people here and photographing their lives.
