Emily Lawrence & Derek Harp

Emily and Derek were a awesome couple and we had a great time spending their wedding day with them. They were married at Park Memorial United Methodist Church in Macon, Georgia. The church was so beautiful and built in 1890. It has orignial gas lights that were electrified and colorful stained glass. Emily and Derek had an intimate wedding and then traveled to The Cupola to enjoy an evening with family and friends. We wish them all the best in their new life together!

How Cute!

We've done several kid shoots this week and I wanted to show you some images from them. These kids were just great and range from just a few months old to a couple of years. The best part about shooting with children is that you get to play with them. We run around the playground or park chasing each other, sliding on slides and even in the studio it's so funny when a baby makes a funny face right back at you!

I love kids. I think because I'm basically just a big kid myself.

My Son's First Portrait

This afternoon I walked back into the studio after a photo shoot to find my sweet little girl, Faith, watching cartoons. I kissed Faith on the head, walked in the back and found my wife Kerry sitting at my desk. She asked me to come over and said she wanted to show me something.

Kerry turned around and clicked the mouse. Then, one by one, amazing 3-D ultrasound images of my son appeared.

I couldn't wait to share some of them with you. I'm so proud of the little guy. In one of them, you can even see him yawning.

What a beautiful day.

Bryn Causey & Eric Bush

This past weekend, we were blessed with the commission to photograph Bryn and Eric's wedding day celebration. They were married at Highland Hills Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia.

Bryn and Eric were surrounded by family and friends and their day was exciting and so beautiful.

One of the things we love so much about weddings is that every one has something about it that’s different. One of the details we loved was that Bryn had her new initials on her wedding cake.

It was a great day and we wish the new couple all the best!

The best birthday gift ever

This morning I woke up next to my beautiful wife, Kerry. She rolled over, looked at me and whispered "Happy Birthday, Baby". A little later she told me that she had a special birthday gift for me. She put my hand on her tummy and told me to be still.

And then, a moment later, I felt my Son move for the first time.

What an unforgettable birthday gift.

The Simple Joys of Life

My little girl Faith and I were walking through the parking lot holding hands this evening when it started to sprinkle. She erupted into laughter, said "Daddy, de wain tickles my toeses!", and wiggled her toes through her pink flip flops.

I laughed with her and thought how long it had been since I played in the rain. We dodged raindrops all the way to the car. After she got in, I walked around to the other side, and just for a moment, closed my eyes and felt the rain on my face. :)

My three year old little girl reminded me that sometimes it's the smallest things that make life a beautiful place.

Keri Cole & Ben Ford

Yesterday we had the honor of photographing the wedding of Keri Cole & Ben Ford at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Macon, Georgia. The church was built in 1869 and was a beautiful setting for their wedding.

Keri and Ben had friends and family from all over the country in attendance to wish them well and be a part of their day. The reception was downtown at the Armory.

Their wedding day was amazing with lots of details that made it special. At the end of their day, guests showered the couple with lavendar petals as they left.

Katie Gonzalez

Meet our model for today, Katie Gonzalez.

A local physician, Dr Boddy, commissioned a photo shoot from us for advertsing his practice.

Katie showed up at our studio that morning and we got work. We tried high and low key lighting and different outfits and expressions. It was a lot of fun.

Later we went on location and photographed her in the office with the office staff.

Katie was amazing, and very professional. She just kept going and going. We had a great time with the staff, and I wanted to post a couple of pictures here for you.
