Tammy Chambers

If you haven't already met her, I wanted to introduce you to Tammy Chambers.

She works in my studio as an associate photographer. Tammy has been a family friend of ours for years.

Tammy was assisting me at a wedding once and I handed her one of the cameras I wasn't using. She started taking some shots for fun.

When I got the images back to the studio and processed them, her images were really good. Tammy had a great eye for composition and for capturing moments as they happened.

It's easy to show someone how a camera technically works, but it's difficult, if not impossible, to show someone how to have an eye for photography. I've been really blessed to have Tammy at shoots with me. She's an important member of our team.

There are a lot of people who work hard to make Delaney Holliman photography a success. I'll be introducing some of them in future blog entries. Stay tuned!

Thanks guys!

My family and I attend Ingleside Baptist Church where a good friend of mine, Tim Lehmann, is the production director. Tim called me up, told me they were doing a series on the family and wanted to know if he could use photos from my website.

I called everyone and they said it was totally great to use their family photos. Our Pastor, Tim McCoy, is so amazing and the series is great. I wanted to post a big thank you to everyone for lending their family modeling abilities to us!

Here are some of the ones that they used:

Faith's First Day of School

That's my little girl Faith. She's 3 years old and today was her very first day of preschool. My wife Kerry and I took her together.

Faith has been talking about going to preschool and was really excited about it.

It was so much fun to see her walk in the building, stop and look at the fishes in the fish tank, say hello to her teacher, and start to make new friends, but it was also a little sad because my sweet little girl is growing up on me. When she was picked up, she said, "I played with Kids!" and said she couldn't wait to go back.

Like the Beach?

If you like the beach, you've got to check out the latest Portrait Montage!

Trey Chambers (pictured) says, "Nice beach. Mom wants me to get my picture taken, but how much do I get to model for you?" I think we'll have to work something out.

We did this session at the beach at Gulf Shores, Alabama. That's not too far from where I grew up as a boy.

Portrait Montage

We're introducing yet another new product - The Portrait Montage.

We take some of the images we make during a portrait session, add some music and then create a custom DVD so you and your family can enjoy the images at home.

Want to see what it might look like?

Studio Tour

My sister Renata lives in California and asked me if I would post some photos of our Studio so she could see. I only said I would after she said she'd come personally for a visit.

So here you are Renata! Let me know when to make up the guest room!

The Art of Life Book

One afternoon not too long ago, a client commissioned us to photograph her family. I suggested that we photograph her and her family playing together in their back yard.

The children had a great time playing ball, chasing each other, and as they laughed, ran and played, I captured the moments of their day. The images that we made together documented not just what their family looked like, but who their family was, how much a mother loved playing with her kids and how much a little girl loved her dad.

From those images of their afternoon I was inspired to create a fine art book. We searched extensively and found a remarkable book bindery that produced wonderful fine art books. The books are printed with a giclee printer on archival paper so generations from now the moments of that afternoon can be relived.

I love it. I can’t wait to do more.

Beth Ann Murph & Duke Lane Wedding

We were honored to be chosen by Beth Anne Murph to photograph her wedding to Duke Lane, III in Marshallville, Georgia last weekend.

The wedding was held at a beautiful Methodist Church in Marshallville, Georgia and the reception was held at Lane Packing Company in Byron.

The wedding was an intimate affair and while only family members attended, the church was full of well wishers.

The reception was held at Lane Packing in Byron. Ask just about anybody in Middle Georgia and they will tell you that the best peaches (and peach ice cream!) are to be found at Lane Packing. Tosha Hays, event coordinator, transformed the building into a colorful, elegant affair. Candles lit the night as over 500 guests danced, laughed and celebrated.

We were thrilled to document their wedding and wish them all the best.
